PC Field Update

FIELD UPDATE SEPTEMBER 13,2022

Another huge rainfall last night. Crew out this morning mowing the field down so that they can over seed with Rye this after noon. The sail posts are being partially enclosed with rock, just like the pavilion and pool.

Field September 2, 2022

The field has been mowed so it looks better. Rain has been really good in the past week. However, the foul lines will be a challenge to fix. I hope the park gets them straightened out before Bruce and company come to install the artificial foul lines on October 17-18.

Flowers thrown in at no extra chsrge.

August 23,2022 Field report

Ups and Downs !!!   The field is looking a little rough. Ok, a lot rough.

Some over-seeding will require manual digging up of some parts like the right field line and second base. We have been having a lot of rain during this monsoon season.  That gives the weeds a chance to grow rapidly.  The 1st slide shows second base buried...

BUT, hey, look at the new sails over the redesigned patio area.  These pictures were taken at 9:30 am.

PC 2022 FALL BIG CHANGES

Big change to the field coming for the Fall 2022 season. New artificial fowl lines were ordered and will be installed mid October 2022. Bruce McClain will remeasure the field to get the correct location of the batter's box. An artificial turf contractor gave us a bid to replace all of the grass - $600,000. We are a little short !!

The food truck has been removed. The pavers have been temporarily pulled out in order to drill holes for the new posts for the colorful sails over the patio area. That includes the bleachers.

FALL 2020 The Covid-19 season

Maintenance still goes on while the Canadian border was closed

FALL 2019 SEASON UPDATE

In 2019, the field gets a major infield "face lift".  The park moved the new dirt from outside right field parking lot to the infield. Then a contractor was hired to level the dirt using a GPS application in the tractor. The same process is used on high school and college fields.
